In climates or during seasons when the night air temperature is cooler than the daytime temperature, the cool air can be used to provide cooling for storage of tropical products. Only a simple fan is required, and the vents at the bottom of the building should be opened at night. During the day the vents should be closed and the fan turned off. (Illustration by L. Kitinoja 1997)
